*’The first time someone gave me a treatment using “Myofascial Release”, I was absolutely amazed, and it inspired my first steps on the path to working in massage therapy.’*
Following a ten-year career as a technician for theatre, concerts and festivals, my desire to help people more directly inspired a move to massage therapy. Since graduating from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2014, I’ve provided therapeutic and relaxation massage in both clinical and spa settings.
I believe relaxation can be a powerful therapeutic tool. I use as much or as little pressure as is necessary to achieve the required therapeutic effect. I use a range of techniques, so we can tailor the treatment to your preferences.
I approach my clients with respectful, non-judgmental empathy. Based on your medical history and the results of orthopedic and neurological testing, we’ll develop a plan to meet your specific needs.
Some of the issues I may be able to help with:
– Back, neck and shoulder pain
– Hip and leg pain
– Recovery from surgery, car accidents, strains, sprains or tendonitis
– Postural dysfunction, especially from too much sitting or standing
– Stress
I seek to involve my clients in the treatment process, and help them take control of their health through education and homecare. I believe my role is to facilitate change in the body via the nervous system.
Born in England and raised in Canada, I live in East Van with my spouse and our child. I ride my bike to get around, and try to make time for a yoga-inspired self-care practice.
I look forward to meeting you, and working together to achieve your goals.
