Dr. Heidi Lescanec, ND
Welcome! I have twenty years of experience blending up to date scientific knowledge with natural, clinically proven forms of medicine.
My intention is to help you not only feel better, but also guide you to understand more about how your body functions – so you can wisely take care of it and make well-informed choices every day.
Ideally our work together will provide you with more than the right formula of medicines to take, as powerful as that is. I am also passionate about empowering you with the knowledge and tools to transform your health with the positive practical changes that enhance your life in an ongoing way, beyond our consults.
My main areas of focus are hormone health: fatigue, thyroid conditions, insomnia, menstrual irregularities, menopause, mood issues (anxiety and depression), fertility and pre-conception care; and digestive issues: SIBO, IBS, IBD, reflux and food sensitivities. I am a passionate whole foods chef and bring my extensive cooking experience and knowledge of food-as-medicine into my clinical practice through culinary nutrition counselling.
- Acupuncture
- Prescriptive Authority including Bio-Identical Hormones and (LDN) Low Dose Naltrexone
Blending my passion for cooking and medical knowledge, I aim to nourish healthy changes through culinary guidance and naturopathic counselling; helping patients put into practice the understanding that food is medicine. It is my belief that having the knowledge, skills, and inspiration to feed ourselves well is the foundation of preventative medicine and feeling optimal on all levels.
