Studies have shown that chemotherapy patients who received regular massage therapy sessions reported reduced depression as opposed to those who received no treatment.  Burn patients showed a reduction of anxiety after a series of treatments.  And researchers report that therapeutic massage had positive effects on breast cancer patients’ sleep quality, resulting in an increased quality of life.
