Laura Wallace, RMT

dsc01499Laura graduated from the Langara College Registered Massage Therapist Program. She grew up in Vancouver, and has always had an interest in  human anatomy and biology. She is fascinated by what she has learned through her training as a massage therapist, and is excited to be able to use her knowledge to help people in all stages of the healing process.

In her treatments Laura likes to use lots of movement as she believes immobility is a major cause of dysfunction. Laura is very interested in working with the fascia of the body and finds scar work especially intriguing. She uses a variety of techniques in her treatments  including joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, swedish massage, active stretching, myofascial release and neuromuscular techniques.  An appointment with Laura includes a history and assessment relevant to the complaint, manual therapy, and home-care tailored to the client’s needs.

In her spare time Laura can be found creating, be it drawing, sculpting, sewing or baking/cooking. She is inspired by animals and nature, so she tries to be outdoors as much as possible.

Laura is available and welcoming new and existing clients at Broadway Wellness on Mondays (2:15-8:15pm), every other Tuesday (8am-2pm), Fridays (8am-2pm), and every other Saturday (9am-6pm).
