Kristin Richards, RMT

Krisitin graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2005. Upon completing registration she worked in New Zealand for a year before returning to Vancouver, where she now practices massage therapy.

In 2007, Krisitin became a Doula which re-ignited her passion working with both pre and post natal women. Her professional development courses have included Myofascial Release, Thai Massage, Pelvic Alignment, Craniosacral Therapy and Birth and Post-partum Massage. She have also organized and instructed Infant Massage Classes for families in the Lower Mainland.

With the birth of her son in 2011, she has a new appreciation for pregnancy, birth and post partum health and care.

Kristin’s aim is to share her enthusiasm and fascination for the extraordinary capabilities of our human body. Along with massage, and when necessary, Kristin advocates other avenues supporting your therapeutic goals such as Acupuncture, Yoga or stretching, Pilates, Chiropractic care, Reflexology, Osteopathy, Nutrition and Holistic counseling.

Primary practice interests:
- Craniosacral Therapy for headaches or migraines, back discomfort, insomnia, trauma   and anxiety
- Myofacial Release for sciatica, leg length discrepancies, back and neck discomfort
- Visceral Manipulation for digestion difficulties, painful menses
- Trigger Point Work for muscular discomfort and headaches
- Relaxation to promote general wellness and prevent dis-ease
- Prenatal discomforts for the duration of pregnancy
- Massage for labour induction to encourage labour to begin
- Cesarean section scar work (14 days post operation)
- Visceral/Organ manipulation after a vaginal or C-section delivery
- Relief of constipation/gas, “after pains” and breast feeding posture post-partum
- Empowering mom with information and homecare skills so she can nurture herself,   while she is caring for her little one
- Teaching baby massage classes (private or group settings)
