Dana Anderchek, RMT

Dana is a west coast native and graduated with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, located in Halifax, NS. She has an active interest in modern pain science, the Biopsychosocial pain model, and evidence based practice, and how these can be applied to massage therapy treatments for better patient outcomes. Dana like to focus her practice in working with those who experience persistent and chronic pain, jaw pain and dysfunction (TMJD), and various levels of healing throughout all stages of injury. She also enjoys working with those who use massage as part of their management of diagnosed mental health and degenerative disease conditions. In her practice, she aims to create a safe space where healing can occur, and enjoys working with people of all walks of life. She believes in addressing the individual needs of each patient’s body through the art and science that is massage therapy.

Dana’s goal is to get you moving, and feeling better. She is also a firm believer in empowering patients to take their health into their own hands, and will often send patients home with stretching or strengthening exercises so they can continue to see gains outside of the massage therapy clinic. Additionally, she is always happy to educate or just have a spirited discussion about how amazing the human body is.

Please note that Dana’s practice does not generally focus on relaxation massage treatments, and she uses a moderate to deeper massage pressure, when appropriate.

Dana is currently welcoming patients at Broadway Wellness on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:15pm to 8:15pm.
